Their innovative “roadside management drone” is front and centre of the NSW Government’s display at this week’s CeBIT expo.
Among the interested visitors to the stand has been Randi Zuckerberg – founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media and sister of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
Ms Zuckerberg stopped by the NSW stand for an inspection of the technology and a chat with Slasher Teck co-founder and consultant Norm Boyle.
The managing director of Hannover Fairs, which organises CeBIT, Harvey Stockbridge, joined Ms Zuckerberg on her tour of the display.
As well as its roadside vegetation management system and now autonomous display drones, Slasher Teck has been supported by Jobs for NSW with a $98,000 Building Partnerships grant to develop a “Robocollect” unit, which uses two robotic arms, a transfer conveyor belt and a detachable rubbish compactor.
Ms Zuckerberg’s visit to the NSW stand at CeBIT Australia followed her plenary presentation to a packed conference hall on technology trends in business.
